Who is John Riggins?

John Riggins, a former Redskins Running Back, is probably best remembered for his 43-yard touchdown run during Super Bowl XVII. Playing for the New York Jets and Washington Redskins during his 15 year career, John was a first round draft pick in the 1971 NFL Draft out of the University of Kansas. Nicknamed “The Diesel”, John was known for being a powerhouse on the field, and being true to himself and his fans off the field.
